Zinc Stearate

Zinc Stearate (CAS 557-05-1) is the zinc salt of stearic acid, chemically known as Zinc Dioctadecanoate. It is most commonly used as a binding agent in powder makeup products such as face powders and eyeshadows. It is typically used at concentrations of 3–10%; exceeding this range can cause lumpiness or greasiness on the skin.
