Tribehenin

Tribehenin is the triglyceride ester of behenic acid (a long-chain saturated fatty acid), with the IUPAC name Propane-1,2,3-Triyl Tridocosanoate (CAS #18641-57-1). It functions as a thickening or gelling agent in cosmetic formulations and serves as a compacting agent for pressed powder products. It also improves the heat stability of emulsions.
