Synthetic Fluorphlogopite

Synthetic Fluorphlogopite is the synthetic version of the naturally occurring mineral Mica, with the chemical formula Mg3K[AlF2O(SiO3)3]. Being synthetically produced gives it more consistent quality, fewer impurities, and an even lower heavy metal content than natural Mica. It is also more transparent and offers improved light reflection compared to its natural counterpart. Its official CosIng functions are listed as bulking and viscosity controlling.

● Benefits

It can be used neat as a superior filler or skin tone enhancer, or serve as a base for multi-layered composite pigments such as pearl effect pigments when coated with metal oxides like titanium dioxide. Its improved transparency and light reflection properties make it useful for luminous or skin-perfecting cosmetic finishes.
