*Synthetic Fluorphlogopite
Synthetic Fluorphlogopite is the synthetic version of the naturally occurring mineral Mica, with the chemical formula Mg3K[AlF2O(SiO3)3]. Being synthetically produced, it offers more consistent quality, fewer impurities, and an even lower heavy metal content than natural Mica. It is also more transparent and provides improved light reflection compared to its natural counterpart. It is used either as a standalone filler and skin tone enhancer, or as a base for composite pigments such as pearl-effect pigments when coated with metal oxides like titanium dioxide.
Synthetic Fluorphlogopite functions as a superior filler and skin tone enhancer due to its high transparency and improved light-reflecting properties.
