Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate

Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (CAS 61789-32-0 / 58969-27-0) is a surfactant and cleansing agent derived from vegetable (coconut) fatty acids, chemically described as fatty acids, coco, 2-sulfoethyl esters, sodium salts. It is readily biodegradable and is especially prominent as a key ingredient in syndet bars (soapless soap bars). Its official CosIng functions include cleansing, hair conditioning, and surfactant.
