Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate (CAS 68187-32-6) is a vegetable-based co-surfactant derived from coconut fatty acids and glutamic acid (an amino acid). Its IUPAC name is L-Glutamic Acid, N-Coco Acyl Derivs., Monosodium Salts. It is used in rinse-off and cleansing formulations as a mild surfactant.
