Chemically, it is a complex mixture of proteoglycans, glycosaminoglycans, glycoprotein enzymes, hyaluronic acid, copper peptides, antimicrobial peptides, and trace elements including copper, zinc, and iron. It is widely used in K-Beauty formulations and is officially classified under skin conditioning by CosIng.

● Benefits

Snail Secretion Filtrate has demonstrated antioxidant activity via superoxide dismutase and glutathione s-transferase enzymes, and has been shown to induce fibroblast proliferation and downregulate MMP enzymes that degrade collagen, supporting wound healing and anti-aging effects. A double-blind clinical study found significant improvement in fine lines on photoaged skin after 14 weeks of use. It has also been clinically studied for reducing erythema, itching, and burning pain associated with radiation dermatitis.
