Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate (also known as Tinogard TT) is a synthetic antioxidant molecule used in cosmetic formulations at concentrations of less than 0.8%. It functions primarily to protect product formulas from oxidative degradation, including discoloration. It is considered a modern alternative to BHT, a more commonly criticized synthetic antioxidant and stabilizer.
