PEG-20 Glyceryl Triisostearate
PEG-20 Glyceryl Triisostearate is a clear pale yellow liquid derived from glyceryl triisostearate ethoxylated with an average of 20 moles of ethylene oxide. It functions as both an emollient and an emulsifying surfactant. Its INCI chemical description is poly(oxy-1,2-ethanediyl), α,α′,α′′-1,2,3-propanetriyltris-ω-[(1-oxo-16-methylheptadecyl))oxy]-, (20 mol EO average molar ratio). It is commonly found in cleansing oils and balms.
According to the manufacturer, PEG-20 Glyceryl Triisostearate is a highly effective yet mild surfactant capable of creating crystal-clear microemulsion facial cleansers that are gentle to the skin and rinse off easily without leaving an oily residue. It is particularly suited for emulsifiable, water-rinsable oil cleansers.
