Oenothera Biennis (Evening Pr Imrose) Flower Extract

Oenothera Biennis Flower Extract is derived from the evening primrose plant (Oenothera biennis, Onagraceae). The oil form is obtained from the seeds and is rich in fatty acids, notably linoleic acid (66–76%) and gamma-linolenic acid (GLA, 7–12%), with smaller amounts of oleic acid (6–15%). It has been studied as both an oral supplement and a topical ingredient since the 1980s. Note: the source page describes the seed oil (Oenothera Biennis Oil) rather than the flower extract specifically.
