Limnanthes Alba Seed Oil

Limnanthes Alba Seed Oil, commonly known as Meadowfoam Oil, is extracted from the seeds of the white-flowering meadowfoam plant (Limnanthes alba, Limnanthaceae). It has a unique fatty acid profile composed of approximately 95% long-chain fatty acids — primarily eicosenoic acid (C20:1, ~61%), docosenoic acid (C22:1, ~16%), and docosadienoic acid (C22:2, ~18%). It also contains antioxidant components such as vitamin E and phytosterols. The oil is described as non-greasy, rapidly absorbed, and having a skin feel similar to jojoba oil.

● Benefits

Meadowfoam Oil is an emollient that conditions the skin and hair, imparting a soft, smooth, and silky feel. Its exceptionally high long-chain fatty acid content makes it extraordinarily stable compared to most plant oils. The presence of vitamin E and phytosterols contributes additional antioxidant properties.
