Jojoba Esters

Jojoba Esters are a complex mixture of wax esters (fatty acid + fatty alcohol) produced by the transesterification or interesterification of jojoba oil, hydrogenated jojoba oil, or a mixture of the two. They exist in multiple versions with variable fatty acid chain lengths, resulting in textures ranging from liquid to creamy, soft or firm paste, or hard wax. Unlike most triglyceride oils, jojoba esters are chemically distinct and are derived specifically through the interesterification process rather than being pure jojoba oil.
