Hexylene Glycol

Hexylene Glycol (INCI: 2-Methylpentane-2,4-Diol, CAS# 107-41-5) is a small glycol molecule used primarily as a solvent and helper ingredient in cosmetic formulations. It thins out thick formulas and improves spreadability. It is also used as part of the preservative blend Lexgard® HPO, where it boosts the effectiveness of phenoxyethanol.
