Glyceryl Stearate SE

Glyceryl Stearate SE is an oily ingredient derived from the reaction of stearic acid (octadecanoic acid) with glycerol. The "SE" designation stands for self-emulsifying, meaning it can blend oil and water without additional emulsifiers. Unlike standard Glyceryl Stearate, the SE grade contains a small amount of water-loving soap molecules such as sodium stearate, which increases its affinity for water and gives it stronger emulsifying abilities.
