Ethylhexyl Triazone
Ethylhexyl Triazone (also known as Uvinul T 150 or Octyltriazone, CAS 88122-99-0) is a new-generation chemical sunscreen filter that provides UVB protection in the 280–320 nm range with peak absorption at 314 nm. It is an oil-soluble, odorless, colorless powder. It is not available in the US or Canada due to regulatory restrictions, but is permitted up to 5% in most other markets worldwide.
Provides the highest photo-stable UVB absorption among available UVB filters. Its photostability means it does not degrade significantly upon UV exposure, maintaining protection over time. Its odorless and colorless nature makes it suitable for fragrance-free and clear formulations.
Not approved for use in the US or Canada. Restricted to a maximum concentration of 5% in permitted markets (EU Cosmetic Restrictions VI/15). As a chemical UV filter, individuals with sensitivities to chemical sunscreen agents should exercise caution.
