Cyamopsis Tetragonoloba (Guar) Gum

Cyamopsis Tetragonoloba Gum, commonly known as Guar Gum, is a plant-derived ingredient obtained from the ground endosperm of the seeds of Cyamopsis tetragonoloba (Leguminosae). It is a large, branched sugar molecule (polysaccharide) with CAS number 9000-30-0. In cosmetic formulations it functions primarily as a gelling and viscosity-controlling agent, and also serves roles in binding, emulsion stabilising, film forming, and masking.
