Butylphenyl Methylpropional (also known as Lilial, INCI CAS #80-54-6) is a synthetic fragrance ingredient with a floral scent. It is classified under cosmetic restriction III/83 in EU regulations. As of 1st March 2022, it has been banned in the EU following animal studies that indicated a possible link to infertility. It is also recognized as a known fragrance allergen.
