In-vitro studies indicate that asiatic acid stimulates the production of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) and collagen I synthesis, suggesting it likely contributes to the moisturizing and wound-healing properties associated with Gotu Kola. These mechanisms point to potential skin barrier support and anti-aging effects.
